Question 1

Do I need to be a writer?

Accepted Answer

No. You describe the idea in plain language – a couple of sentences is enough. If you would rather start from something, pick one of the templates on the first step.

Question 2

How long does a book take?

Accepted Answer

The outline comes back in seconds. A full draft is usually written in a few minutes, depending on how many chapters and words you asked for.

Question 3

Can I change what the AI wrote?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every chapter can be edited by hand, or regenerated with a new instruction. Old versions are kept, so you can switch back to an earlier revision at any time.

Question 4

Is the book ready to publish as it comes out?

Accepted Answer

No – treat it as a solid first draft. Check the facts, add your own examples and experience, and edit it in your own voice before you publish. Codex AI Book Writer saves you the blank page and the structure, not the final read-through.

Question 5

Can I self-publish it on Amazon KDP?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you tell Amazon. KDP asks whether AI wrote any of the text, images or translations, and a book drafted here counts as AI-generated even after you edit it. Export to EPUB for Kindle and PDF for print.

Question 6

Why not just use ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

You can, and many people start there. The difference is the structure: Codex AI Book Writer plans the whole book as an outline you approve, writes every chapter to that plan, keeps every version and exports finished files. In a chat you hold the plan yourself and copy the chapters out one by one. We compared the options side by side:

Question 7

What can I export?

Accepted Answer

PDF, Word (DOCX), EPUB and a web page (HTML) – with your cover, author name and publisher included in the file.

Question 8

What if I already have an outline?

Accepted Answer

Use "New Book with Script" and paste your own chapter breakdown. Codex AI Book Writer skips the outlining step and writes straight from your structure.

Question 9

What happens if I run out of tokens?

Accepted Answer

Generation pauses instead of failing. Top up your balance and the book continues from where it stopped – nothing already written is lost.
